Community Matters
Community Matters is the nationwide federation for community associations and similar organisations and has played a key role in promoting and supporting action by ordinary people in response to social, educational and recreational needs in their neighbourhoods and communities.
Disclosure and Barring service (DBS)
The DBS enables organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially that involve children or vulnerable adults.

Homes and Communities Agency (HCA)
The HCA are the housing and regeneration agency for England providing investment for new affordable housing and to improve existing social housing, as well as for regenerating land. Are also the regulator for social housing providers in England. The focus of our regulatory activity is on governance, financial viability and financial value for money as the basis for robust economic regulation. We set consumer standards but will only intervene in cases of serious detriment that have caused, or are likely to cause, harm.
HomeSwapper
HomeSwapper is for social tenants who want a house swap. This is also called mutual exchange. If you live in a council house or housing association property you can swap.
House Exchange
House Exchange is an online mutual exchange service for all social tenants to find potential home swaps.
House Exchange is similar to matchmaking and dating websites in that it facilitates introductions between social housing tenants looking to swap their homes.
Housing Ombudsman Service
The Housing Ombudsman Service is set up by law to look at complaints about the housing organisations that are registered with it. The service is free, independent and impartial.
HoS resolve disputes involving the tenants and leaseholders of social landlords and voluntary members (private landlords and letting agents who are committed to good service for their tenants)
HoS consider complaints using dispute resolution principles, and encourage landlords and residents to use these principles so they can resolve complaints together at the earliest possible opportunity.

The Inside Housing website provides the latest breaking news on everything in the social housing world. Online forums and blogs allow housing professionals to share opinions and advice, plus there are in-depth articles and briefings, as well as the latest job vacancies in housing and related fields
International Union of Tenants
IUT is a Non Governmental Organisation, founded in 1926 in Zürich, Switzerland, with the purpose of safeguarding the interests of tenants and resident associations.
Joseph Rowntree Foundation
To search, demonstrate and influence, providing evidence, solutions and ideas that will help overcome the causes of poverty, disadvantage and social exclusion.
Local Government Ombudsmen
The Local Government Ombudsmen are the final stage for complaints about councils and some other organisations providing local public services. LGO also look at complaints about adult social care providers (such as care homes and home care providers). It is a free service
Lottery Funding
Lottery Funding is a joint website run by all Lottery funders in the UK. The site allows you to search information on current funding programmes across the UK.
National Council for Voluntary Organisations
The NCVO offer information, support and consultancy services to a wide range of voluntary organisations throughout the UK.
National Housing Federation
The National Housing Federation represents independent, not-for-profit housing associations in England and to support and promote the work that housing associations do and campaign for better housing and neighbourhoods.
National Tenant Organisations
A forum that acts as an online hub for representatives from England’s four national tenant organisations (TPAS Tenant Participation Advisory Service, CCH Confederation of Co-operative Housing, NFTMO National Federation of Tenant Management Organisations and TAROE Tenants and Residents’ Organisations of England) to discuss existing and emerging developments in social housing.
