A round up of our Tpas Midlands Members event
Monday 4th of November 2019
On September 26th 2019 Tpas held its Midlands Members Event at the home of the emh group. We asked Roy Swann, a resident from emh homes to share his experience of taking part with the event.
We were very pleased to be able to host the event for Tpas which brought together residents and staff from 19 different housing providers across the region.
We were delighted to see so many of our friends, colleagues and staff, meeting up with old friends added to the enjoyment of the day.
emh were given the opportunity to showcase its involvement structure, we have just completed a review and restructure of our resident involvement. Together with staff and resident consultations we have produce two documents Lets Engage Structure and Lets Engage Strategy 2019-2024, we were very pleased to be able to share with our friends a little of what we are implementing at emh.
I was practically interested in the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government Section 21 consultation, it was an interesting discussion, which I hope provided a good insight into the thoughts and ideas of those present.
Very interesting and lots of ideas came from the Housemark Customer Satisfaction Survey Item, some of the residents I was speaking to, seemed less than convinced with the surveys currently doing the rounds, so perhaps its time for a complete rethink with surveys.
It was great to meet up again with my friend Ann Harris who was attending to inform those who may not be aware that the National Tenants Voice is still on the agenda. Although ministers have had other things on their minds lately, a recent meeting hosted by Inside Housing has been able to increase awareness and thanks to people like Ann who travel the country drumming up support, she, has never let the idea die, Well done Ann.
Thank you everyone for a great day.
