Tpas Awards 2019 - New look, new categories and a new venue.
Wednesday 22nd of August 2018
The Tpas Awards will be open for entries on 3rd September with a new look, new categories and a new venue.
After spending time speaking to tenants, landlords and sponsors over the last six months we’re now proudly in a position to launch the Tpas Awards 2019 with a whole new format.
The awards will be, for the first time in its 12 years history, a national event attracting submissions from across the country in one single and simple nomination process. Held in Manchester for the inaugural event in 2019, every annual awards event afterwards will be hosted in a different part of the country to ensure the ceremony is as accessible as possible.
To fully represent what is happening in engagement in the housing sector in 2019 the new categories will celebrate the work of volunteers, landlords and contractors across a range of new themes.
Introducing the new awards format, Tpas Chief Executive, Jenny Osbourne, said;
“The Tpas Awards have been around for nearly 12 years; in that time we’ve seen considerable changes to the engagement agenda. We have also seen changes to staff and volunteers’ workloads and commitments and an increasing focus on value for money. It’s time to reflect those changes for the Tpas Awards. We are proud to listen and we are proud to respond and change.
With this new format we’re continuing to host the only awards dedicated to shining a spotlight solely on the special successes that can only be achieved when residents, landlords and contractors work together. The Tpas Awards have, and always will, be about people. About homes, not units. About communities, not stock.
The changes we’ve made with the new venue, categories and format will offer greater value for money, accessibility and experience for our award nominees.
Hosting the awards is a privilege for Tpas and this year we will feature new categories including Excellence in Tenant Communication and a very special Lifetime Achievement Award.
Of course, we’ll continue to honour the special volunteers across the country by keeping the categories that are so uniquely synonymous with the Tpas Awards by finding and celebrating a national Tenant of the Year and national Inspirational Young Tenant of the Year”.
The new look Tpas Awards will also include an exclusive ‘after party’, for those that wish to meet, network and congratulate the winners after the event.
