North East Tenants Voice (NETV)
Wednesday 6th of October 2021
Who we are and what we are doing
- We are tenants from the North East of England who want to have a voice and want to be heard locally and nationally
- The NETV is voluntary and for tenants who are willing to give up some of their time to discuss and take part in what they believe
- We want to challenge Government, both locally and nationally
- We are a united voice to tackle stigma, social deprivation and negative perceptions
- 'Our say in our way' - looking at regional topics within the North East
- It is not a place to air personal grievances regarding your landlord
- It's your voice we want to hear - it's one voice of the North East tenants!
What we are doing
The North East Tenant Voice hold various types of meetings to discuss regional topics and the function of the group:
- Monthly full NETV meetings (approximately 2-3 hours)
- Specialist Sub-group meetings
- Lobbying Government on behalf of the North East
Our current topics of interest include:
- Improving the quality of homes, communities and building safety
- Tackling digital poverty
- Tackling and reducing stigma
- Carbon Neutral agenda
- Anti-Social behaviour
- Rural issues
