Thank you for your thought provoking conference

This thank you letter was too good not to publish. Thank you to the lovely tenant volunteers from Mid Devon District Council who took the time to write to us after the National Tenant Conference.
Dear Tpas,
We would like to congratulate you on another very informative, thought provoking and hugely successful conference.
We always return to sunny MDDC with lots of new ideas and approaches to how the service provided by our relatively small Council can be improved and enhanced after your Conference.
We particularly enjoyed the new format of 5 guest Tenant speakers to start the Conference off. Each of them very passionate about the work they are doing to improve Social Housing in their communities. These Ladies prove that true Tenant Involvement is key to the success of a Social Housing provider. By working together the lives of all social housing tenants can be improved and in some cases saved. We are after all the experts of what it is like to live in Social Housing.
We thouroghly enjoyed all of the workshops we attended, gaining valuable information from them all.
We have returned with a clarity about how we as tenants can improve Mid Devon.
We have made new acquaintances through the various networking opportunities and have made contact with these on our arrival home. We also caught up with people we met last year.
The Gala night was, as usual, a huge success and we enjoyed joining in this year dressing up as the Ladies from Dowton Abbey. We thank you for the photos.
We had our first meeting last night and invited our new portfolio holder to this. He has confirmed he is committed to Tenant Involvement at Mid Devon District Council.
We are looking forward to putting what we have learnt into practice!
